Making History

Location. Making History

Description

The Making History gallery tells the story of people's lives in Devon and Exeter. It starts from the earliest settlers 12,000 years ago and goes to more current times.

The story unfolds through all kinds of objects that connect us to the people who made, used and owned them. You’ll find treasures and tools, clothes and pictures, weapons, toys and mystery objects. Highlights include an Iron Age wooden figure, a medieval puzzle jug and a Second World War Anderson shelter.

Close-up captions: RAMM’s digital close-up captions enable you to use your own mobile device to read the information that is on display beside each object. Follow the link for the close-up captions of Making History.
