Description

Starfruit (Averrhoa Carambola Linn) taste sour or sweet depending on the ripeness and the variety. The mature, ripe fruit are translucent, deeply ridged, pale orange and have a star-shaped cross-section. This drawing shows the tree’s magenta flowers and young fruit. It is grown commercially in many tropical areas around the world.
