Description

The In Fine Feather gallery showcases over 140 birds from RAMM’s diverse bird collection.

In the past, collectors brought specimens back from their travels and mounted them for display as symbols of wealth and status. Collected for their impressive feathers, vibrant colours or rarity, they came to RAMM from 30 different countries.

Today, many of these species are protected by law. Newer additions to RAMM’s collections are the result of accidental death or poor weather, or they were captive birds.
