Hermann Hauser, Germany’s most important guitar builder of the twentieth century, met Andrés Segovia in 1925 and studied his Ramírez guitar. Hauser then began building Spanish-style instruments, eventually making guitars that surpassed those of the Spanish masters. This example was played by Julian Bream for much of his career as a concert guitarist.
