This boxwood instrument stems from the heyday of the
Grenser company, when it maintained a work force of six. The angled version of
the horn (hence the name cor anglé) is characteristic of German instruments of
the second half of the eighteenth century. The pitch of the longer upper
section is a’ = 430 Hz, the shorter about 440 Hz.
