Description

Case Histories is a meeting place for objects and stories from across the world. On display are some of the largest and oldest objects in the museum.

How did they all end up here? Some exhibits were given to RAMM by people who collected them while living and working abroad. Others were found in Devon and Exeter.

RAMM recognises that collectors in the past often did things that a museum would not do today. For example, the museum certainly wouldn’t accept an elephant that someone had recently killed for sport. Yet, wherever they came from, all these objects were given to RAMM for the same reason – so that people could experience and study them at first hand.
